Liffeybank's Under 16 Girls team have made it to the National Stages of the SFAI Trophy after coming through the Dublin region qualifiers. The "Town" girls have beaten tough opposition in Mount Merrion (5.1) and Granada (3.2 AET) to reach the last 32 in the Country. They will now meet Dunshaughlin YC in St.Catherine's Park on Sunday 29th to see who will reach the last 16.

The girls are top of the MGL U16B league and a win on Sunday will cement the progress these girls have made over the last couple of years. Managers Jim Mooney and Niall Cullen are delighted with the attitude and fight that the team has shown, especially against higher ranked teams, a narrow 2 nil defeat to Shelbourne in the SFAI Cup showed that the girls can mix it with more established teams.
