The Liffeybank girls just fell short by the smallest of margins of winning the competition after winning five, losing one and drawing the last game to eventual winners Pompey in the Community, the club back by professional outfit Portsmouth FC. The girls had to play in sweltering heat but managers Simon Coburn and Billy O Connor rotated the squad so everyone kept fresh and hydrated. The girls now have a fun day off visiting the Efteling Theme Park before heading home on Monday.
